The Dentists warn that using these toothpastes for pain management can hide symptoms of serious problems that should be addressed by a doctor. Among the potential heath complications the use of desensitizing toothpastes could mask if over used is sinus infection.An untreated sinus infection can do more than cause discomfort. It could get worse and cause more serious health complications. If desensitizing toothpastes are used to mask oral discomfort caused by sinus infection, then the severity of the infection could go unnoticed before it causes a serious problem.
