Mold Concerns

The Rome News-Tribune has a brief piece about the dangers of mold. Mold has been attributed to the deaths of thousands of people annually, including the recent deaths of actress Brittany Murphy and her husband. Mold infections can cause a variety of health problems, including sinusitis.Being wary of the conditions that can create mold and the symptoms of mold-caused illnesses is key to preventing a possibly life-threatening condition. Humid or damp environments, poorly ventilated, and shielded from the sun are often where mold makes it's home. Mold spores released into the air are inhaled and can cause sinus infections and other serious respiratory conditions. Particularly vulnerable to mold growth are areas in the home where there have been leaks or flooding. If you have concerns about a persistent case of sinusitis, contact our office to set up an appointment.
