Covid-19 i s a worldwide pandemic that has had different effects on different countries. Europe for the most part closed down countries and economies, and the coronavirus seems to have abated—while returning on very specific tourist hot spots. However, in Israel the country shut down and the virus has returned. New York State has managed to close down and avoiding the virus from returning.

It is not clear how much immunity a patient someone may have after coronavirus. The patient theoretically has immunity with antibodies generated as a reaction against the virus penetrating the organism. Yet, there is a large amount of patients who have false negative results. Also, last month there was a paper from the Karolinska Institute stating that a majority of patients may have had cell mediated immunity without positive antibodies.

Medical research is very important when defining public policies and responses against our current coronavirus crisis.
