With the spreading of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the United States and all over the world, Dr. Arthur Lubitz, as usual, is entirely invested in the well-being of his allergy and asthma patients in New York. Allergy, asthma and immune deficiency patients might be at a higher risk of experiencing severe symptoms if positive of COVID-19. Also, allergy patients may experience symptoms that could be mistakenly believed to be COVID-19 symptoms.

COVID-19 symptoms present with aches pain and fever, as well as some shortness of breath for first 6 to 10 days. If the virus goes to the lungs, you get severe cough and inability to breath. The symptoms need to be distinguished from the common allergy symptoms. Allergy presents with sneezing, coughing ,and wheezing rather than shortness of breath. It is important to keep this distinction in symptoms clear. Similarly, allergy patients do not develop a fever unless they have a secondary viral infection.

Dr. Lubitz remains open to serve New Yorkers in times of distressβ€”as he has always been doing for more than 30 years. If you need to book an appointment for your allergies or asthma, you can book your appointment online, or call 212-247-7447.
