New Telemedicine Study Geared at Helping Rural Children with Asthma

The Arkansas Children's Hospital Research Institute is making plans to investigate whether school-based telemedicine sessions will help rural children manage their asthma symptoms. The study is being funded by $2.2 million dollar grant from the National Institutes of Health. The planned study will review 12 rural school districts in Arkansas where video-conferencing systems will be used to provide asthmatic students with regular education session with specialists in Little Rock.If you are concerned that your child is showing symptoms of asthma, including difficulty breathing, contact our office to setup an appointment.
