Already the pollution is such that they are saying it poses a health risk to anyone who vulnerable people. Those vulnerable people include asthmatics, those with severe nasal allergies, and those prone to sinus infection.Air quality isn't just a concern for those states along the gulf coast. With another heat wave expected this week in New York City, residents should be wary of the air quality. Remember that low air quality can exacerbate asthma symptoms, and irritate the sinuses resulting in difficulty breathing and potentially leading to sinus infections. Avoiding spending time outside during times when air quality is expected to be poor, such as during a heat wave, is one way to avoid the ill effects. If not going outside isn't an option then it is best to avoid being outside in the mid to late-afternoon, when air quality is at its worst. Avoiding areas with heavy traffic, particularly areas frequented by diesel powered trucks, is also advised. For questions and concerns about how poor air quality could effect you, contact our office.
