There are differences in mucous, body pain, length of time you've been experiencing symptoms, and degree of fever.Understanding the difference between a cold and allergies is important to help with determining treatment. Allergies present with clear mucous and a low fever of around 100 degrees. Usually, there is also itching around the face, particularly the nose and mouth.
